So as I continue to meet with returning and new clients this year, one thing is clear. There may be a new President, but for each client, the old energy is still in office. Even though in your mind you may convince yourself of something. You actually have to do something with those thoughts to get that something to materialize. Usually what that something is, the opposite of whatever you are doing. That’s hard to hear. I know for myself, there are things I think about, but do not always want. In order to want, requires desire. Desire is passion. It’s real energy. Passion is a way you put harnessed energy to work. I’ll say it again…Passion is a way you put harnessed energy to work. So with 11 months still remaining in the year, if you have already begun the procrastination game, or the space cadet job, or the wrong turn Louie drive, the misunderstood degree, everybody picks on me tale or whatever your particular “issue or issues” are…take note. Stop wasting your time feeding that energy and actually pay attention to the energy hoping for your attention. And once you begin paying attention to it, don’t be surprised or hurt when it starts playing hard to get. Just keep going and you’ll meet up again. Not necessarily when you want, sooner than you think, but when you least expect it.

Welcome. Many of us out in the world are beginning to see the symbol or hear the word “namaste” more and more. It isn’t a new word or even a trendy word. The meaning of Namaste is very simple, although it is translated several ways.Below is a brief and simple overview to get you acquainted.
Namaste (Nah ma stay) is a sanskrit word. Sanskrit is a language from the region of India and surrounding areas like Nepal. Namaste can be used as a “hello” or “goodbye”. When it is spoken by someone, they usually will put their hands together (in prayer position) with palms and fingers touching. Their hands will be placed in front of their heart, below the chin or nose. Sometimes the person may bow their head ever so slightly.
The translation I use is- “the inner light in me, sees the inner light in you”. That light is speaking of your life force energy. Your spark in all of its shades, nuances and glory. The being of you, not just the human being. Your soul, essence, your most inner light.
You don’t need to practice yoga to say namaste, eat granola or understand how the consciousness works. Use it to help practice slowing down the “i’m too busy” syndrome you may sometimes experience or to get out of the same old rut you’ve been in for 5 years and counting now. Say “namaste” to start exploring what feeling that word would mean for everyone you come in contact with and if you could bring the power of it to your life. Your life would be different. No doubt about it. Now don’t be a smarty pants and say it while rolling your eyes, or smacking your gum. Like all words its purpose serves as a symbol of something bigger. In this case, it just happens to be the infinity of you.

So yesterday I met with one of my younger clients. He is an 8 year old boy. He and his father were walking on their way to drop him off at school. They were in a busy intersection when a car sped through, knocking his father down, breaking his ankle and throwing the sweet young boy flying helplessly into the air. Due to the impact with the car and the ground, he is now between worlds. He is in a coma.
Sometimes as a healer things are more complicated than usual. This is one of those times. Before meeting the young boy, I found myself hopelessly crying. I paced back and forth, feeling as though my heart was breaking. His parents tried for a child for 10 years before she successuly gave birth, to her little son. I realized that as a parent, any happiness you had before a child was born, can quickly and unapologetically disappear in an instant, if your child dies. So after giving gratitude for the insight, I took my toe from the potential pool of despair and dried it off. A very important part in the healing process is non judgement and setting emotion aside. Now it probably sound nds crazy that those are 2 of the most important parts, but they are. As I sat with the young boy and his paernts, the despair was palable. But as a healer, my duty is to set aside intense, distracting emotions and focus. Healing is about channeling and transforming energy. So I sat and did my best. Judgement comes in more than one form. So as a healer it is my duty to see how it is showing itself and focus the energy properly. So as I did my best to keep the thoughts of the parents potentially feeling no happiness in the future at bay, I sat and sent distance and hands on healing. The energy of despair is an interesting and complex one. Despair is like a weight around your neck, a thorn in your side, a rock in your shoe, sand in your eyes;all at once.Yoou can’t shake it. You can only face it and see it for what it is.
Time will only tell what the future holds for the sweet little boy. Time will only what the parents have chosen to do.In the meantime, despair is looming.
